For more than 70 years, Cowra Veterinary Centre has been providing trusted veterinary care to the Cowra, NSW, region and beyond. The practice was first established in the 1950s by the legendary Merv Foote, who dedicated his career to serving western New South Wales. Since then, we’ve continued his legacy of compassionate, professional care for both pets and farm animals. Under the ownership of Peter and Kellie Launders since 2011, our clinic has grown into a modern, full-service veterinary practice while keeping the same community-focused values. Peter first joined the practice in 2009 and is proud to continue supporting local families and farmers with expert care. We are a mixed practice, caring for both small animals (dogs, cats, and other pets) and large animals (cattle, sheep, and horses). At Cowra Veterinary Centre, we’re committed to keeping your animals healthy, whether they’re beloved family pets or part of your livelihood.
Small Animal Care
We provide comprehensive veterinary care for your pets, including dogs, cats, and other companion animals. From routine health checks and vaccinations to surgery, dentistry, and diagnostic services, our team is here to keep your pets healthy and happy at every stage of life. We also provide a full range of poultry care services.
Large Animal Care
Our veterinarians support local farmers with professional care for cattle, sheep, and horses. We offer farm visits, herd health programs, reproductive services, disease prevention, and emergency care to help maintain the wellbeing and productivity of your livestock.
Emergency Vet Care
Due to increased workload and staff shortages, our after-hours emergency service hours have been reduced. Our after-hours emergency service will continue to be available from Monday to Friday but only until 10pm. Our after-hours emergency service will also be available until 10pm on weekends, but there will be some weekends when we will not be available (due to family commitments, etc.).
